Blessed Luigi Quattrocchi
I was born in Italy in 1880 and raised by my uncle and his wife. I went to “La Sapienza” University to become a lawyer. Later, I became the Attorney General of Italy. I was friends with many important political figures of my time. The meeting with Maria Corsini in her family home in Florence shaped my future, and we married on 25 November 1905 in Rome. We had four children, Filippo, Stefania, Cesare, and Enrichetta. While my wife was pregnant with the fourth baby, the gynecologists advised her to have an abortion because of the risk to her life. We refused this and placed ourselves in the hands of God. Thankfully, everything went perfectly. Family life was never dull. There was always time for sports and we spent the holidays together. We invited many friends to our house. During the Second World War, our apartment became a shelter for refugees. Every evening we prayed the Rosary together and participated in evening vigil prayers. In 1951, I died of a heart attack.
