Saint Cecilia

I was born in the second century in Rome, Italy, into a Christian family at a time when Christians were persecuted. My life was full of love and faith. I loved our Lord Jesus Christ so much that I promised to remain a virgin, but, my parents gave me away in marriage to a man named Valerian. Thankfully, he respected my faith, and also embraced Jesus as his saviour. At my martyrdom, I was struck thrice on the neck with a sword and was killed along with my brother because of our faith.
