Saint Nicholas of Myra

I was born in what it is today's Turkey. I was destined to become the bishop of Myra. I inherited my father's fortune and used it to do a lot of good. One of the stories about my life involves three sisters. Their father had no money for their dowry, so he wanted to send them away to prostitution. Hearing this, I filled three bags with gold coins, and without their knowledge I threw the bags into their room. They managed to find good men and got married. I died in Myra, leaving behind a good example for the people to follow.
